ANNE WAIGURU DID NOT GO ANYWHERE...HERE IS HER NEW JOB FROM THE GOVERNMENT

Barely two weeks after she resigned as Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning due to ‘ill-health’, Anne Waiguru could be headed back to Government after details emerged that President Uhuru Kenyatta was planning to appoint her to head the yet to be created Office of Management and Budget under the Presidency.

During his recent Cabinet reshuffle, Uhuru asked his Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Joseph Kinyua, to design an Office of Management and Budget under the Presidency, which will ensure that he drives priorities and oversight while Ministries concentrate on service delivery.

Sources within political corridors intimated that Waiguru’s name had popped up several times in high level discussions and that she could be poised to take up the new office under the Presidency.

This was corroborated by CORD leaders who said that they had credible information that Waiguru is destined to be appointed to head Uhuru’s new Office of Management and Budget.

According to CORD leaders, the new office will make Waiguru the de-facto Treasury boss and Head of Civil Service.

If these speculations are true, then Waiguru is as good as the head of Uhuru’s new office as she will not be subjected to another vetting since she was already vetted upon her appointment as Devolution CS and she is not under any investigation even after resigning.
