It was a give and take between the Transition Authority Chairman Kinuthia Wamwangi and the Government Spokesman Muthui Kariuki over the accommodation of the new Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero.
Kinuthia and his team had identified the building hosting Prime Minister Raila Odinga as the one to be occupied by Evans Kidero, a move that has strongly been opposed by the Government Spokesman Muthui Kariuki saying the building was meant for the Deputy President William Ruto.
Mr. Wamwangi warned Muthui against interfering with the mandate of the TA saying most decisions about the devolved Government structures were reached long before Muthui came into office as a Government Spokesman.
However, Wamwagi agreed to host Kidero temporarily at the City hall saying plans were underway to get him a permanent accommodation.
He urged all the Governors elect to be more patient as they arrange for their permanent accommodation that befit their status. However, he challenged them not to focus on luxury but service delivery.
