A vote for UHURU/ RUTO is a vote for Kenya’s ECONOMIC RUIN – RAILA’s CORD

Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) flag bearer PM Raila Odinga and his running mate VP Kalonzo Musyoka have warned Kenyans that voting for their rivals in the Jubilee alliance will lead to economic ruin because the international community will not cooperate with people facing charges of crimes against humanity.

“How can you as business people appreciate the Jubilee coalition? I can assure you that their first 100 days will be like a re-run. The ICC baggage they are facing is a challenge that cannot be ignored. CORD will start to work on day one and a 100 days later we will meet to evaluate progress,” said the VP.

The pair said that given the signals already coming from the international community about not working with Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto (both ICC suspects) should they win on March 4th; the country needs to consider its economic future carefully.

“How can you trust someone who is telling you he is going to run your government through Skype from the Kenyan embassy in The Hague?" posed Raila, repeating a statement he made during the Presidential debate on Monday.

Raila and Kalonzo made the comments this morning during a meeting with about 3,000 members of Kenya’s Asian community at the Chandaria Auditorium in Westlands, Nairobi.
Raila however added that he was confident that CORD would win the March 4th elections, saying his administration would treat all Kenyan’s equally;

"The CORD government will be an all-inclusive administration that will cater for the interest of every Kenyan regardless of their religion or social background, creed or ethnicity,” he said.

Kalonzo also plugged Evans Kidero’s bid for the Nairobi Governorship position

"I can tell you that you can never have a better Governor in Nairobi that Dr Evans Kidero,” he said.
