A farmer in Kirinyaga is counting his blessings after his cow delivered triplets. According to veterinary officers ordinary cows can only carry at least twins and siring triplets is not ordinary.
Villagers from Kirinyaga flocked the farmer’s home in large numbers to see the cow and the calves which were all healthy unlike the belief by many that they may be unhealthy and die fast.
The farmer expressed his joy and said he did not expect the birth to be full of blessing even though his cow. A veterinary officer was at the scene to check on the calves and he reported that it was a miracle to see the calves all healthy considering the state at which they were born.
He further added that they will be monitored frequently as they are more immune to diseases that may lead to their death.
