Kirinyaga police officers have arrested a prominent pastor who defiled two under-age girls in his church.
The cleric is said to have lured the girls aged 17 and 16 to his house within the church compound, where he locked them in his bedroom and raped them in turns before beating them badly.
Kirinyaga Police Chief Apollo Onyonyi said the suspect was being held at Wang’uru Police Station for further investigations.
Onyonyi said the girls had been visiting the pastor’s house for prayers before the pastor took advantage to commit such a despicable act.
“From our preliminary investigations, we have established that the girls were defiled adding that a doctor confirmed that the girls have major injuries in their private parts,” the police boss said.
He urged Kenyans to be wary of men of the cloth since many of them have become sex pests who cannot be trusted with young ladies due to their naivety.
