Kenya's top Afro-fusion musical group Sarabi is mourning the loss of its members and founder John Njau. They broke the sad news on their facebook page, here is what they wrote;
“It is with deep sorrow and sadness we announce the sudden passing on of one of our founder member John “Kamuniu” Njau… John was a percussionist and singer for our Band and contributed his talent immensely and helped create the foundation blocks for SARABI… on the photo below taken for a feature on Drum magazine in 2006, the late John is standing next to Haron on the extreme left…. John we thank you for sharing your journey with us.. Rest in Peace our brother. “
