The warrant was issued by Nairobi Chief Magistrate Ann Ndungu on Tuesday in the case where Kethi is accused of stealing a voter’s registration acknowledgement slip.
In September last year, Kethi denied charges of stealing the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) slip worth Sh5, uttering a false document and handling stolen property.
She is out on a bond of Sh100,000 with a similar surety.
On Tuesday the court was informed that she had obtained an order stopping the criminal case pending the hearing of an application before the High Court.
The order, according to trial magistrate, has not been served on the lower court to ascertain if the criminal case has been halted by the High Court.
Kethi is charged alongside Godfrey Lemiso, an officer from the IEBC.
The court directed that the matter be mentioned on July 8.
