It seems the biggest beneficiary in the just concluded Presidential election is Deputy President–elect William Ruto.

William Ruto is set to become the first occupant of Sh 450 million palatial home in Karen built by the government for the Vice President.

This however will not take place until the case lodged by the Prime Minister Raila Odinga at the Supreme Court challenging the outcome of the March 4thgeneral election is heard and determined.

Ruto, who is the former Eldoret North MP, can only move into the new residence after being sworn in as the first Deputy President under the new Constitution.

The house was completed last September and handed to the Ministry of Home Affairs ready for occupation.

The house comprises a main house with bedroom, three children’s bedrooms and two guest wings. A state of the art office block, gazebo/gym garage/generator house, swimming pool and comptroller’s unit.

It has security unit with an armoury, domestic staff quarters, pergola walkway, pump house, water treatment plant, borehole and tank.
