Prime Minister Raila Odinga has fired a salvo to Jubilee coalition leaders, saying they are bunch of anti- reformers who are misinterpreting the constitution for their selfish gains.
Addressing a major rally in Narok County on Saturday, the PM, who is also Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader, dismissed propaganda being peddled by Jubilee coalition leaders that he will take all agriculture land when he assumes the Presidency, saying he will only tax the unused land in accordance to the law.
“The red team is cheating Kenyans that I have said my government will take away agricultural land from people. That is not true. The constitution says that all land that is to be given individuals for building should be used as designated, but some selfish people just wait for prices to go higher so that they can sell the plots in towns; I did not say agricultural land ,” Mr Odinga said.
In other news, the PM on Saturday said he is in good health contrary to media reports that he had been admitted in a Nairobi Hospital after allegedly developing health complications.
He termed the report by The People newspaper that Mr Odinga has been admitted in a hospital on his campaign trail in Narok on Friday evening, as malicious propaganda by Jubilee coalition leaders.
“You can see me and attest that I am in good health and fit as fiddle,” the PM said.
Jubilee coalition comprises of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Eldoret North MP William Ruto and Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi.
