Eldoret North MP William Ruto has welcomed Bomet MP Beatrice Kones to
United Republican Party (URP).
Kones,
who is also the Assistant Minister of Home Affairs, ditched Orange Democratic Movement
(ODM) on Wednesday morning saying she was pressurised by her constituents to
join URP.
Speaking
while welcoming her to the party at party headquarters in Nairobi, the Eldoret
North lawmaker thanked Kones for realising where she was supposed to be before
she faced the wrath of his electorate.
Ruto said URP is a party associated with performance
oriented leaders and expressed confidence that the party will be form the next
government.
