Garissa Chief who was yesterday shot by KDF officers has died from his injuries.
Abdullahi Bare, the Assistant Chief for the Modika area of Garissa, was shot yesterday by KDF officers as they continued their crackdown on the town following the killing of three of their fellow officers on Monday by people suspected to be members of the Al Shabaab militia.
Dujis MP Aden Duale remarked painfully on the Bare’s death in Parliament today saying the people of Garissa will not let the matter lie;
“We will bring a substantive motion against this government for the killing of our people.”
Speaker Kenneth Marende while commiserating with the MP said that “We must address this matter with sobriety.”
Bare’s death brings the body count from the two days of chaos Garissa to two. A woman died on Tuesday.
