Apparently the 2nd year Bachelor of Commerce student was being robbed off his laptop and smart phone by the robbers and the robbery turned violent when he tried to raise an alarm.
The robbers who feared that police on patrol and residents may discover what they were up to shot him dead. Shocked residents who heard the loud gunshot rushed to the scene but the student Ali Kulubi was already dead.
Police in Tena are at the scene investigating the incident which has raised a lot of insecurity issues. His body has been transferred to the City Mortuary.
Residents of Tena have in the recent past complained about insecurity but nothing seems to be forthcoming as a cartel of robbers continues terrorizing residents.
