It’s not even Christmas and yet the Pay-TV channel DSTV already want to give you ‘So Much More’. DSTV yesterday announced a a 10% reduction rate on their rates for subscribers in a move that’s seen as tactical to keep loyal customers on board as well as stay competitive with newer entrants such as StarTimes and Zuku.
In the new deduction, subscribers on each of the payment plans including DSTV Premium, DSTV Compact Plus, DSTV Compact, DSTV Family and DSTV Access, will each enjoy discount rates of 10% off the figure. This is however provided that they are prompt in their payments and don’t wait for the current rate to expire.
Annual subscribers will get a slightly larger discount, at the rate of 12%, provided that they make the payment at least a day before the expiry date of their subscription.
Other pay-TV broadcasters such as StarTimes and Zuku have introduced competitive rates into the industry that was once monopolized by DSTV.
