University of Michigan Political Scientist Walter Mebane claims to have used two statistical models to conduct a detailed analysis of the concluded polls.
The Political Scientist detected that 548,352 votes were fraudulently counted in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta
Professor Mebane stated that the possible indicators of fraud were present at polling stations throughout the country.
The professor noted that in his analysis, he only assessed electronic vote tallies and not paper ballots. "There was no sign of manipulation in voter turnout numbers but the vote counts look anomalous on every basis we use,” the Professor stated.

Prof Mebane developed an "election forensics toolkit" that applies diagnostic tools to voting data.
He has used these statistical methodologies in elections in a dozen countries, including the 2013 presidential contest in Kenya.
On Friday, the Supreme Court nullified President Kenyatta's re-election, ordering for a fresh presidential poll in 60 days.
The court stated that IEBC did not conduct free and fair elections but cleared Kenyatta of any malpractice. They also stated that the irregularities experienced affected the final outcome of the election.
