Darwesh who was well as on Sunday 13th December, and even did the 7 Pm news, died at Mater Hospital after he succumbed to diabetes that had earlier on in the day immobilized him at his South C home.
He was rushed to the hospital after being found sick and later pronounced dead by the medic.
Known for his distinct introduction and an undisputed command of Swahili, the entire Standard Media Group and media fraternity is mourning his loss.
The news of his demise came as a great shock, unbelievable news that has become difficult to even draft for our news desk.
“..... Ni furaha ilioje mpenzi mtazamaji tunapojiunga nawe papa hapa kwenye taarifa za ktn Leo wikendi...hujambo na Karibu...wanakkwetu wananiita Ahmed Darwesh..... Kwanza tupate vidokezo....” His voice silenced by the untimely death, we mourn his death- A true gentleman, a humble soul, a man of a great sense of humor.
