Saddique Shaban Joins France 24 After Leaving KTN

About 3 months ago, KTN sports anchor Saddique Shaban left the Mombasa road based station.  
In his statement after quitting, Shaban said that he wanted to pursue other interests.

Dear Friends and colleagues,

I’d like to inform you all that I have left employment at KTN effective today, Friday 17th may, 2013.

I feel it is time to pursue other interests after 8 years working as a Reporter and News Anchor, and a host of the Weekly Sports Show KTN Sports Final.

For the millions of my a daily viewers on KTN, I thank you all.

I leave KTN on a professional high, having given my best and having met incredible people from all walks of life.

To my colleagues, family and friends, I thank you all.

Friends and acquaintances,

Over the last two months and half, I have been inundated with calls, emails and text messages inquiring about my professional whereabouts after leaving the Kenya Television Network, KTN in May 2013.

While it has not been possible to reply to each and every inquiry, I’d like to acknowledged that I read them all and replied to most.

I only just took a break to refresh and realign my professional trajectory. 

Well, those who have been asking about it will shortly be answered.

I never left.

Sure enough, he never left. Yesterday, Shaban was reporting for France 24 (a 24 hour international news station), about the JKIA fire.
