Nine Killed, Several Others Inured in a Garissa Gun Attack

Nine people were shot dead Thursday evening and several others injured after a group of hooded gunmen sprayed a restaurant with bullets in Garissa town. The attack occurred at Kwa Chege hotel in the town as the attackers opened fire at patrons at close range with AK 47 rifles and later fled the scene.

Six people died on the spot with three others succumbing later to injuries. The injured have been rushed to Garissa District Hospital.
