Jubilee Media Centre |
With results from all constituencies announced earlier Saturday morning showing Uhuru Kenyatta had won the presidency with 6,173,433, the auditorium has been decorated with Kenyan and Jubilee banners in readiness for Uhuru Kenyatta will give his acceptance speech from the venue later on Saturday after his win is confirmed by the IEBC. Tents and TV screens have also been erected outside to accomodate the crowd expected to throng the venue.
Elaborate security measures and media arrangements are said to already be in place.
Uhuru and his running mate William Ruto had been expected to give a pressconference from the venue on Friday but had to cancel the event after it became apparent a winner would not declared on Friday.
