It seems the popularity of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta is spreading like a wildfire, after a top lieutenant of Prime Minister Raila Odinga endorsed Uhuru’s bid for the presidency.
Former Attorney General Charles Mugane Njonjo, who is a member of Raila’s Summit, on Sunday evening endorsed Uhuru Kenyatta’s bid for the Presidency saying he cannot be left out by the revolution which is taking place in the country.
Credible sources indicate, Njonjo was pressurised by his family and constituents to endorse Uhuru for the top seat, saying he had earlier objected but on Sunday he agreed.
The 92 -year old octogenarian, who is nicknamed “Sir Charles” or “Duke of Kabeteshire”, is an influential figure in Kenyan Politics and this is a vital shot in the arm for Uhuru’s journey to State House on March 4th.
