The National Police Service Commission has put forward a list of nine individuals from which Kenya will choose the three people who will lead the reformed police force.
The list has more than a few surprises the most telling of which is that it does not include Police Spokesman Eric Kiraithe who lobbied extensively that the job should go to a serving police officer.
The positions to be filled are those of the Inspector General of police, his deputy in charge of the regular police and another deputy in charge of the administration police.
Here are the names of the nominees;
Police Inspector General nominees:

Grace Kaindi
Deputy Inspector General – Regular Police:
Franci Muhoro,
Judy Chebet Ndeda
Jasper Ombati.
Deputy Inspector General – Administration Police:
Samuel Arachi
