A darling of students and parents, his mastery of Chemistry saw his students score high marks at national exams.
His former students say that his expert hands never trembled when he titrated chemicals in the Chemistry laboratory. His hard work and academic excellence did not go unnoticed and in no time, he had risen to rise to principal of a well-known high school in Migori County.
Armed with unrivalled school managerial skills, he has seen the school post outstanding results since he took over. At one time, the school even took pole position in Nyanza Province. And were it not for involvement in an unpleasant sex scandal in Kisumu recently, the schoolmaster seemed set to retire with an outstanding professional career.
A source inticates that the principal had left his place of work to attend to a private business in the lakeside city. The business however, turned out to be a romantic liaison with his wife’s sister

Being away from his wife, the principal was certain that his clandestine love affair would not become a public knowledge.
Unfortunately someone who knew him well saw him with the unmarried woman and informed his wife accordingly.
His wife was startled by the news, but since it was late in the evening, she arranged for a taxi to take her to Kisumu early the following morning.
They left Migori and arrived in Kisumu at dawn. She immediately headed to Manyatta Estate where her sister, an employee of a courier firm, resides.
Her sister hadn’t woken up. She knocked on the door to no avail. But continued banging compelled her to open the door. The principal’s wife barreled in and forced her way into the bedroom. And there was her husband in her sister’s bed!
Involuntarily, she broke into a guttural wail, thereby waking up neighbours and attracting a crowd.
“It was a big crowd. Some wanted to discipline the principal for sleeping with his young sister-in-law,” recounts a source.
The principal had a hard time explaining to his wife what he was doing in his sister-in-law’s bed. Fortunately, the commotion attracted the landlady who happened to be living nearby.
Fearing that the worst could happen in her rental houses, she called police officers who responded and quickly whisked him away from the restive crowd.
While he was being taken away, his wife shouted at him, saying it was over between them.
Those in the know, however, say that fearing that his wife could do terrible things to him if he went back to her, the principal has decided to stick with her sister.
“He remains indoors and only gets out when he is brushing his teeth or answering a call of nature,” says a close neighbour.
Witnesses say parents and students who saw the principal in his moment of shame were at loss on what had befallen their humble, soft spoken principal.
In the western parts of Kenya, it is not uncommon, however, for a man to marry sisters and cousins.
