Mutahi, whose well-choreographed sound bites are magnetic to all media centres in the country, is currently part of the UDF communication team alongside former Nation journalist Julius Maina.
“He signed a contract of about six million so that he can advise Musalia Mudavadi,” a source privy to the development disclosed.
“That is why you have been hearing him on K24 TV’s the Bench show talking as if Mudavadi is going to win tomorrow,” the source added.
Mutahi was dropped as a columnist for the Daily Nation after he overly and sometimes maliciously criticised President Mwai Kibaki’s administration using tired metaphors, the source asserted.
Mutahi, who is also a political scientist, is known for well articulated political hypothesis that sometimes come to pass.
