Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has rekindled his interest on signing Kenya midfielder Victor Wanyama during the January transfer window.

The Scottish manager made an inquiry for the 21 year old during the previous window but didn't firm up his interest at that time. QPR were the only EPL side to make a 6 million pound bid (KES 900 million) but that was rejected outright by the old firm club.
According to The Daily Mirror newspaper, in a story titled 'Kenya feel the force? United eye up Celtic midfield hardman Wanyama', The Red Devils have sent a high profile delegation including club scout Martin Ferguson who is Sir Alex younger brother, to watch the defensive midfielder in action during this UEFA Champions League matches.
The paper adds that United were convinced by Wanyama's performances in the SPL but the club's hierarchy perceives the opposition faced by Celtic on the domestic front as 'minor'.

Wanyama, a former Beerschort FC (Belgium) player, has featured for the club in the champions league on five occasions, scoring once.

Celtic have been open to extending the player's contract to fend of interest in the 10 million pound rated (KES 1.4 billion) player but nothing has been agreed as yet.
