Four members of a ruthless gang known for terrorizing residents in Nairobi West met their match yesterday after robbing a box which they thought was full of notes as an armed guard was packing the box into a security van.
Apparently the robbers had been trailing the security van for many days picking cartons from a shop in the area and yesterday decided to strike and rob the guards. In their well planned robbery, the robbers waited for the security guard to pack one of the cartons into the van and as he went to collect more they stole it, boarded a boda boda and headed for Nairobi’s Kibera slums.
The robbers however opened the box and were left astonished as the box was filled with condoms instead of money. They threw away the box on the side of the road at the mercies of not well to do men who scrambled for them.
