Vegetable hawkers at Nairobi Parklands area yesterday found a woman of Hindu origin dead at her home in Wambugu grove. The woman is alleged to have been strangled to death and neighbors suspect her maid to be behind the killing.
Apparently neighbors saw her maid leaving the homestead in the company of another woman though they did not suspect anything since they had no idea of the killing.
Police said that vegetable hawkers selling fruits and vegetables entered the kitchen of the home as usual and found her body lying on the floor. They raised alarm and neighbors who answered the distress call alerted police.
Nairobi PPO Anthony Kibuchi said they are investigating the case and have launched a man hunt for the maid who is feared to have left the city. Reports on whether the maid stole any money and properties are yet to be released by family members.
