Double tragedy has hit a family in Kisii after their daughter who had been kidnapped by boda boda operators was raped for 8 hours and later defiled yet again by a clinical officer who was treating her at a hospital in the area.
According to the standard six pupil’s mother the girl did not arrive home at 5 p.m. as expected and they became suspicious her best friend however arrived at the home and broke the sad news that two boda boda operators had kidnapped her and ran away with her.
Misery started on Tuesday evening and the family embarked on a search for their daughter. They followed trails of the boda boda operators and found the girl in a deserted house unconscious.
On asking what had occurred to their daughter, she told them that the boda boda operators had been defiling her since 11 a.m. The family rushed her to Kisii police station where they acquired a P3 form before proceeding to Kisii Level Five hospital for treatment.
The girl was admitted and her parent decided to pay vigil at the hospital. Apparently the nurses at the hospital noted that the examining clinical officer was acting in a fishy manner and took the girl to a different ward.
One of the nurses on duty told the media that they heard a commotion coming from the room they had kept the girl and were astonished when they found the clinical officer defiling the girl. The angry nurses beat the man and he started screaming which alerted the girl’s parents.
The hospital security guard arrested the clinical officer and handed him over to police officers in the area.
Kisii deputy OCPD Julius Meme said the clinical officer will be arraigned in court for defiling the girl. He further added that he had been transferred to the hospital from Nyamache hospital with similar allegations.
Police are hunting for the two boda boda operators.
