Jackline Mwende, came into the limelight in August last year after her hands were chopped off by her husband in a domestic violence incident.

Her images with her hands chopped off and a face full of cuts became the face of gender based violence in Kenya.

God decided to re-write her sad story. First, Mwende was flown to Seoul, Korea for a prosthetic limb surgery which was to assist her limbs in regaining functionality.

The three million surgery was successful and Mwende hopes of doing some of the essential tasks that she could not do.

This heinous act also attracted a number of well-wishers that came out to assist her.

Floodgates of blessings have continued to flow her way. With most Kenyans having forgotten her story and her whereabouts, a section of politicians have really stood with her.
