Royal media services owner SK Macharia and his wife delivered separate powerful speeches about Mburu who was head of Citizen Radio at RMS. His eldest son also gave an emotional speech as he pledged to take care of his mother and younger siblings.
The burial was later held at his home in Punda Milia farm in the afternoon.
He will be remembered best for his Yaliyotendeka radio show that defined Kenyan media in its day. His presentation style is what many say they will miss.
