The heroics of the GSU Recce squad unit in subduing the Al shabaab Terrorists in less than 18 minutes have made headlines across the country whenever a Terror incident orchestrated by Al shabaab takes place.The officers have been applauded as heroes in many occasions and rightly so.

For example, security pundits believed that many lives would have been saved if the RECCE officers had been taken at the Garissa University in good time.

However, what has shocked many Kenyans is what officers from the most celebrated police unit are given as salaries at the end of each month.

Sharing his sentiments on social media, renown city Lawyer, Donald B.Kipkorir was furious at Kenya’s government after discovering how the dreaded RECCE squad officers are remunerated. Below is what he said, captioned by a payslip;

“Today, being Idd, I decided to go with two of my friends to the RECCE HQ, Ruiru and my heart broke. In a population of 44 million, we have selected only 800 to join RECCE,and within it less than 200 highly trained and specialized special forced. Yet, we show no appreciation or respect to them.
