The politicians resolved that the county leaders would begin campaigning for Eugene Wamalwa before the minister makes his announcement.
The DP is said to have held another meeting with 63 Nairobi MCAs on the night of Tuesday, August 2. Kamau said the meeting had nothing to do with Eugene Wamalwa.
“The MCAs were invited for dinner at his Spring Valley home in Lower Kabete last night (Tuesday). It was just a get-together. The dinner was also attended by MPs and former legislators from western,”Kamau told Daily Nation.
Ruto’s said moves are said to have angered Jubilee MPs in Nairobi.

Reports indicate that four MPs – Starehe’s Maina Kamanda, John Njoroge (Kasarani), James Gakuya (Embakasi) and Benson Mutura (Makadara) – stormed the DP’s office and confronted him over Wamalwa’s candidacy.
