That said, the supreme court judge recently shared his worth with the public through twitter, with caption;
“In upholding the values of transparency and accountability I make my wealth declaration public”
According to copies of the wealth declaration forms that he posted on his Twitter account, the CJ has an apartment LR No: 209/4517-64 valued at Sh15 million.
Furthure Willy Mutunga also has property LR No: 330/586-A3 located in Nairobi is worth Sh19.1 million, according to the filing for the period January 2012 to November 2015. His Nairobi property aside the CJ also has land in his homeland Kitui which has been valued to be worth 2 million as his car is worth 750,000 Kenya Shillings.
He pocketed a total of 10.1 million an income from Judicial Service Commission between January 2011 and December 2014. He also earned $170,000 (Ksh, 17,229,500) as salary between January and June 2011.
The Chief Justice who is set to retire in June is also set to undergo a lifestyle audit and has since been showered with praise for his transparency.
