Ailing former First Lady, Lucy Kibaki, will have to spend a little more time at Nairobi Hospital where she was admitted last week for undisclosed illness.
Doctors advised former President Mwai Kibaki to leave her in hospital for a few more days as they continue to conduct tests to find the cure for her illness.
According to former President Mwai Kibaki’s Press Secretary, Mr. Ngare Gituku, Mrs Kibaki’s health had improved but doctors recommended she remains at the health facility for monitoring.
“She is responding well to treatment and the doctors want to conduct a series of tests to ascertain that there is absolutely no issue that would crop up at any given time,” said Mr. Gituku.
“As you many know, some tests require 48 hours for results to come out. They (doctors) would like to be with her so that they can do that properly,” he added.
Lucy Kibaki was rushed to hospital last Friday and admitted to ICU after she developed complications.
