A 19 year-old first year UoN student, Sheila Atema, was arrested on Tuesday at an apartment in Kangemi after she stabbed her boyfriend to death after a quarrel.
The late 25 year-old man, Kelvin Ikatwa, also known as Razor, was a Bachelor of Arts student at the same institution and also played as a midfielder for National Super League Wazito Football Club.
According to Nairobi CID boss Ireri Kamwende, police went to the area after neighbours informed them of a commotion.
Ikatwa was reportedly found lying dead on their bed and had three stab wounds to the chest.
Police are yet to establish the motive of the gruesome murder.
Wazito Football Club eulogised Ikatwa in a press statement which read,
“We regret that we have lost Kelvin Ikatwa, who passed on this afternoon. Kelvin ‘Razor’ was a polished midfielder and he joined Wazito FC in the year 2012 from Tena FC.
