Jane who is now known to many as the Serikal Saidia woman became an overnight celebrity in 2012 after Citizen shared a clip of her begging for the government’s help after a flood had devastated her hometown. She became famous of how she reported the incident, turning something tragic into a source of laughter
3 years later, Safaricom gave her an opportunity to work in one of their ads and now Jane ameonekaniwa tena.
Thanks to an appointment by the Kisumu County Government, Jane is officially the Flood Preparedness ambassador under the Special Programmes Department
