Sonko, Waititu Declared Unfit To Run for Elective Posts

With 77 days to the next elections, the Commission on Administrative Justice has declared Embakasi Member of Parliament Ferdinand and his Makadara counterpart Gideon Mbuvi ‘Sonko’ unfit to seek any elective political office.

The Commission on Administrative Justice chairman Omollo Otiende said the commission finds them unsuitable after reviewing their past records.

Sonko has expressed interest in running for the Senate seat in Nairobi County while Waititu is gearing up for the Governor’s contest in the same County.

The two are members of The Natioanl Alliance (TNA) associated with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta.
