While it is not known exactly what Kidero did, the closing shop of Sonko Rescue Team will gut many Nairobians who had got used to the idea of free services especially transport and emergency services. The flashy vehicles will now be donated to the Nairobi County Government. In the midst of the shocking action by Sonko, there seemed to be a political truce between him and his nemesis Kidero. He adopted a conciliatory tone in his speech knowing the fiery battles they have engaged in. He declared support for Kidero with the caveat that he involves him in the running of City affairs.
