Christine Ombasa, a fiery ODM campaigner, collapsed at her home in Nairobi and was declared dead on arrival at Nairobi Hospital.
According to doctors, Christine collapsed and their efforts to resuscitate her were fruitless.
Christine’s death comes two months after another ODM campaigner, Maurine Tata, died after developing post-delivery complications.
The former PM has eulogised Ombasa as a non tribal, peace crusader and a fierce ODM campaigner.
Ombasa’s demise is a big blow to the former PM who has lost key ODM functionaries in a mysterious manner.
Last year, Raila lost Homa Bay Senator, Otieno Kajwang, and early this year the former PM lost his eldest son, Fidel Odinga, under mysterious circumstances.
