NGO founder Benson Wanjau who has been trending for the past week after he allegedly stole meant for a little girls surgery has finally been arrested. Wanjau who had allegedly fled overseas after stealing the money was arrested yesterday, Thursday 20th, at ABC Place in Westlands.
This comes after his three accounts were all frozen after an order by Murang’a county police commander Naomi Ichami.
Muthoni the little girl suffers from a frontal bone defect known as Encephalocele, and was due for surgery in Canada on Tuesday after a team of doctors had offerd to treat her for free if they could cater for their own flight and six-month stay.
Wanjau has however denied this allegations saying he had dedicated months of hard work to assisting the baby.
