On Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta shocked his entourage when he a booked a low cost hotel to cut their spending in the US where he was attending a US –Africa Leaders’ Summit.

Uhuru instead of going for the expensive Presidential Suite opted for a larger guest room in JW Marriot Hotel that cost taxpayers only $339(sh 24,000) a night.

He also urged his entourage who included non-Government bystanders like Eugene Wamalwa to book low cost hotels and avoid wastage of taxpayers’ resources.

“We cannot come here to plunder taxpayers’ money. We are here for business,” Uhuru was overheard telling his Cabinet Secretaries.
