They filll your home page with trash such as “I’m waking up.” “I had meat pie for breakfast.” “I’m bored at work.” “I’m stuck in traffic.” What goes on through the minds of such people is still a mystery. Just because you have 5000 friends doesn’t mean they all want to know about your life details. Keep the details to yourself.
2. The Serial Inviter.
“Like my page”, “Like This Other Page”, “Come To This Event”.” Sign my petition.” There’s always that one person forcing us to embrace all their cause s and activities. Maybe you are one of those and you probably mean well, but stop. Just stop. I don’t care how many pages you have or how many activities you engage in– can’t we simply be friends?
3. The bragging head.
This Facebooker is becoming a common figure. Every day, we’ll see someone posting about their achievements. No one cares whether you were in a meeting with Bob Collymore or you are now working in one of the best companies in Nairobi. If you keep on ranting about your success you sound like a bragger or a self-centered careerist.
4. The Con
I’m sue you have at one point received a strange message in your inbox. “Hey, my name is Jenna form Sierra leone.’ I saw your profile and I think I like you very much. I want us to be lovers. Kindly inbox me through (ph&&&&&@yahoo). Then if you are the horny type or if you have never been conned before, you fall for such a message.
“Diamond was dating his relative!!!” You heard it from me first! These Willis Raburu wannabes are the reason many of us learn of breaking news not from TV or news sites but from online social networks. In their rush to trumpet the news, these people also spread rumors, half-truths and innuendo. No, Jackie Chan did not plunge to his death from a New Zealand cliff.
6. The person with poor Grammar.
Once in a while, you’ll see posts or comments with very poor grammar like “Which school did Larry Madowo went to!!! ” So who really didn’t go to school between you and Larry Madowo. Funny enough, those who are always trying to correct or criticize are the ones with eery poor grammar. Yes, I know the punctuation rules are different in the digital world. And, no, no one likes a spelling test. But you sound like a moron.
7. The Ever-sad person
Such updates as “I’m feeling sad today.” “I’m glad that’s over” and ”All men are players!.” are common. These sad people cast out their sad lives — baited with vague tales of woe — in the hopes of landing concerned responses. Genuine bad news is one thing, but these manipulative posts are just pleas for attention.
8. The Complainers.
These people always find faults in everything. Like the trolls who spew hate in blog comments, they never see something good enough, or something they couldn’t complain about. Hate is in their veins, mostly because things aren’t going so well for them
