Retired President Mwai Kibaki has refuted allegations leveled against his administration by an expert prosecution witness at the ICC Herve Maupeu, who claimed that about five hundred Mungiki sect members were killed to deter the Kikuyu community from supporting ODM in 2007.
In a statement sent to newsrooms by his private secretary Professor Nick Wanjohi, Kibaki says the allegations were far-fetched and lacked objectivity.
Meanwhile the twelfth prosecution witness began adducing evidence in the ongoing Ruto, Sang trial at the Hague.
