The man was only identified as Pastor Maina from the Kenya Assemblies of God Church in Embu.

On Wednesday, the husband is said to have found a text message on the woman's phone that indicated where the two were to meet in Karatina.
The husband followed them there town accompanied by police officers and found them at a lodging.
They were rescued from an angry mob who wanted to beat them up.
