Despite all the scrutiny Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has come under this week, he has gone ahead and unveiled 70 ambulances and 10 motorbikes for his county.
He has brushed aside the allegations of misappropriation of funds and said he will not stop working for his people.
The new ambulances have cost Sh125 million or roughly Sh1.78 million per van. This is down from the Sh140 million budgeted for.
