Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho Accussed of Having A 'Fake' Degree

Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho faces fresh doubts over his academic qualifications that could see him lose his governor seat if the allegations are proved. Letters from Uganda authorities and the university that Joho is said to have studied shown to citizen TV cast doubts on the authenticity of the governor university degree.

It will be the second time that questions are surfacing on Joho's degree that was a requirement for eligibility to contest the governor's seat. Early in the year, a Mombasa court cleared him to vie for his current seat after throwing out a case questioning the status of the university of study, and by extension, his papers.

As Citizen TV's Sylvia Chebet reports, Joho was unavailable for comment.
