The body of a man believed to be in his 60s was on the morning of August 6 found hanging from a tree at Lafayette Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. The man was later identified as Jeffrey Kilibwa, a resident of Jersey City and originally from Kenya.
Kilibwa’s body was found suspended from a tree around 8:30am on August 6 by a woman walking near the park who then called 911. The man was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have ruled out foul play, and it is believed Kilibwa hanged himself.
