Kenyans may soon be required to pay toll fee to ply major highways in the country. According to the Kenya National Highways Authority, the new fee is to cushion the roads authority against huge losses it incurs through vandalism of road guardrails.
The authority spends 300 million shillings to replace stolen guardrails and maintain damaged roads infrastructure every month.
