Teacher Samuel Mulamula of Chavakali Secondary School was brought before Vihiga Senior Resident Magistrate Susan Mwangi for the mention of the case. He is out on Sh300,000 bond.
The boy told the court the teacher lured him into his house only to molest him.
“When I went to see him in his house after he had invited me, he started caressing me. Since I have asthma, I fainted. He, thereafter, molested me thoroughly,” said the boy.
Initially, he said he had feared reporting the matter, but after being treated at Mbale District Hospital, he gathered courage and reported the matter to police at Mbale. County education officials are supporting the boy with counselling to overcome the trauma.
