The latest politician elected in Dorset, Minnesota, can hardly speak. However, Mayor Robert “Bobbie” Tufts, has the last word in the small community town near Park Rapids.
The four-year-old may not have the academic credentials for the job, but residents said they strongly believe that the little boy has what it takes to run the city.
“He is incredible. He is something quite amazing,” Kathy Schmidt, whose family has lived in the area for four generations said. “He is in your face and speaks well. You cannot imagine what a fireball he is,” Schmidt added.
The mayor can also sing and dance, residents said. He leads his people safely through the street. He is also an expert fisherman and knows how to share tips on the best bait to use.
The boy mayor is not ashamed to talk about his love life. He said he has only one girlfriend for now, a girl named Sophia. It is unclear whether the first lady of the city knows that she has captured the heart of the mayor.
“Some people are just are out of their minds. Why would someone elect a 4-year-old boy to run their city into ruins? What does a little boy know? It makes no sense at all. What’s next? Will he run in the next U.S. Presidential elections? Luckily, the town is very small, and nothing will happen if it completely disappears from the map,” Malody Arnold, 35, of Minneapolis, Minnesota told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the 4-year-old mayor.
Dorset also calls itself the “Restaurant Capital of the World” because it has the highest number of restaurants per capita. The city has a population of 22.
