A section of Luo elders are calling on Luo Nyanza leaders including Prime Minister Raila Odinga to back the President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta and his government. Speaking in Ndiru in South Nyanza, former Luo Council of Elders’ chairman Ker Riaga Ogalo strongly opposed Raila's quest to be the leader of opposition saying it will not benefit the community. The leaders say the region has been sidelined in terms of development due to its stand to remain in opposition.
