Raila, Kalonzo, Wetangula sign coalition pact

The Orange Democratic Party (ODM), Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) and Ford Kenya on Tuesday signed a coalition pact in public at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.

The three parties, together with Charity Ngilu's Narc, unveiled the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) to contest the March 2013 elections.

ODM party leader Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Vice President Kalonzo Muyoka of Wiper and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) signed the pact.

The signing of the coalition deal follows Kalonzo’s announcement on Monday that his party will sign a pact with ODM.
